Advanced Dental Care Of South Florida Presents
The Saliwell Intraoral Electro Stimulation Device, the FIRST FDA APPROVED medical device for patients with dry mouth (Xerostomia). The device provides safe and effective relief of dry mouth by stimulating the salivary gland. The Saliwell electrostimulation device consists of a mouthpiece made to fit loosely on the patient’s mandibular dental arch and an infrared remote control.

Electrical Impulses
Saliwell sends electrical pulses of specific patterns that stimulate the nerves associated with salivary glands secretion.

Stimulates Nerves
The stimulated nerves excite both the salivary glands directly to secrete more natural saliva.

Secrete Saliva
Stimulating the salivation center of the brain to further command the salivary glands to secrete more saliva.
How Much Improvement Can Be Expected
- After 1 month of use, patients see about a 20% increase in salivary flow
- After 8 months of use, patients see about a 40% increase in salivary flow
About Dry Mouth
86% of people experience dry mouth. Dry mouth occurs when your saliva glands are not producing enough saliva. This can make every day tasks such as eating, swallowing and speaking difficult. Normal functioning salivary glands should produce 1 liter of saliva a day.
